Why You Should Read "Dune" Unit7

Why You Should Read Dune If you are a fan of science fiction, you absolutely need to read Dune by Frank Herbert. It’s not just a book about space it’s an epic adventure that stays in your head long after you finish it. The story follows a young man named Paul Atreides. His family moves to Arrakis, which is a dangerous desert planet. Even though it’s a dry and harsh place, it is the only home to spice the most valuable substance in the entire universe. Because of this, different powerful families start fighting a "space war" to control the planet. Personally , I love how the book describes the giant sandworms and the mysterious culture of the people living in the desert. I highly recommend this book because the world-building is incredible . It feels so real, like you are actually there in the heat of the desert. At first, it might seem a bit complex, but Paul’s journey from a young boy to a leader is very exciting. If you like stories about politics, survival, and strange...

Doctors or Athletes? Unit6

Who Should Get Paid More: Doctors or Athletes? It’s actually quite crazy when you think about it: a football player can earn in one week what a doctor earns in an entire year. This makes many people wonder if our world has its priorities wrong. To be honest , I understand why top athletes earn so much. Their careers are very short, and they are under huge pressure to perform every single day. If they get injured, it’s all over. Plus , sports are a massive business. Millions of people pay to watch them, so it’s natural that the stars of the show get a big piece of that money. However , saving a life is definitely more important than winning a trophy. Doctors spend years studying and working long nights in hospitals. Their jobs are incredibly stressful because one small mistake can change everything for a patient. It feels a bit unfair that someone who saves lives has to worry about money, while a celebrity athlete lives in a mansion. In the end , I don't think athletes should be...

Organizing a soccer tournament Unit5

Hi Ella, It's great talking to you! Starting a new club at your school is a fantastic idea, and I'll be happy to help you. Personally, I think organizing a soccer tournament is very easy to make money. You can invite different classes as teams. You can make money selling tickets to spectators. If you advertise it many people will come to watch the matches. Also, selling snacks and cold drinks during halftime would be a good way to make money. You can even organize a small trophy ceremony for the winning team to make it more exciting. Luckily, your school already has a great football field, so the costs will be very low. I'm sure everyone will have a fantastic time! Good luck with the organization! Yusuf

MY HOME TOWN                                                      ISTANBUL   Istanbul is the largest city in Turkey and one of the most special cities in the world. It connects Europe and Asia and has a long and rich history. For centuries, it was part of the Roman Empire and later the Byzantine Empire. In 1453, Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror captured the city, and it became the capital of the Ottoman Empire. I was born in Istanbul, so it is my hometown. I grew up in Kartal, which is a beautiful district on the Asian side of the city. There are many amazing places to visit in Istanbul. I think Topkapi Palace is the best. It was the home of Ottoman sultans, and it has so many beautiful and historical rooms. The Maiden’s Tower is another favorite of mine. It is in ...

This Summer

My Summer Vacation: A Funny Adventure This summer vacation was amazing, but also a little crazy! First, I spent a lot of time at the beach with my family. The weather was perfect, and I loved swimming in the sea. But one day, something funny happened. While I was sleeping on the sand, my little brother decided to bury my legs! When I woke up, I couldn't move! Everyone was laughing, and I had to dig myself out for 10 minutes. Later, we went to a big amusement park. I was excited to ride the roller coaster, but right before, I ate a huge ice cream. Big mistake! After the ride, I felt so sick that I had to sit down for a while. My family had fun, but I was just trying not to throw up! I also tried skateboarding for the first time. It was really hard! I fell so many times that my knees were covered in bruises. But by the end of summer, I finally learned how to stay on the board without falling. Even with these crazy moments, it was one of the best summers ever. I laughed a lot, spent...
