                          MY HOME TOWN                                                      ISTANBUL   Istanbul is the largest city in Turkey and one of the most special cities in the world. It connects Europe and Asia and has a long and rich history. For centuries, it was part of the Roman Empire and later the Byzantine Empire. In 1453, Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror captured the city, and it became the capital of the Ottoman Empire. I was born in Istanbul, so it is my hometown. I grew up in Kartal, which is a beautiful district on the Asian side of the city. There are many amazing places to visit in Istanbul. I think Topkapi Palace is the best.
